BUDtheSPUD is a food truck, not a data company. This website does not use tracking cookies, does not carry advertising or advertising trackers, and we never sell or share your information. This page explains the small amount we do collect, and why.

Website analytics

We measure how the website is used so we know which pages are worth keeping and whether people can find our schedule. Two tools do this, and neither one stores anything on your device or tries to identify you personally.

• Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits and records which page was viewed, roughly which country the visit came from, the type of device, and the website that linked you to us. It uses no cookies and builds no profile.
• PostHog records which pages are opened and which buttons and links are tapped, so we can see whether people are finding things like directions and the menu. We run it without cookies and without browser storage, so nothing at all is saved on your device and it has no way to recognise you if you come back later. That means our visitor numbers are an approximation rather than a count of individual people, which is a trade we are happy to make. PostHog processes this information on servers in the European Union.

Because neither tool uses cookies or device storage, this site does not show a cookie consent banner. There is nothing stored for you to accept or refuse.

When you contact us

If you send a catering inquiry, the details you type in that form are emailed to the owners so they can reply, and are also kept in the owners' private booking records so they can follow up and keep track of the inquiry. If you sign up for limited time offer alerts, the phone number or email you give us is emailed to the owners and kept in the owners' private sign-up list, along with the date you agreed and the wording you agreed to, so we can tell you when the next drop lands. You can ask us to be taken off that list at any time and we will. We use that information to answer you and for nothing else. We do not add you to unrelated mailing lists.

Finding the closest truck

The homepage can sort our locations by how close they are to you. That only happens if you tap the option and your browser asks your permission first. If you allow it, your approximate coordinates are sent once to a mapping service to calculate drive times, and they are not stored by us. If you decline, everything else on the site works exactly the same.

Links to other places

Our Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok links take you to those companies' own websites and apps, which have their own privacy policies. Once you leave our site, what those companies collect is between you and them.

Your choices

Most browsers can block analytics scripts entirely through their privacy settings or an extension, and the site works normally if you do. You are also welcome to ask us what we hold about you, or to ask us to delete it. Because the analytics above are anonymous, there is usually nothing tied to you individually to look up, but we will always check.
